Prof. Dr. Jörg Rahnenführer

Vita

  • studied mathematics with a minor in psychology at University of Düsseldorf, where he also did his doctorate
  • worked at the Max Planck Institute for Computer Science in Saarbrücken on statistical methods in bioinformatics after research stays in Vienna and Berkeley
  • since 2007 professor at the Faculty of Statistics at TU Dortmund
  • develops statistical methods for the analysis of genomic data for the diagnosis and therapy of diseases, methods for the biological interpretation of genomic data and statistical methods in toxicology
